Is It Really Free to List a Car in Auction?
Yes.
The current CarMazium seller auction listing fee is £0.
That means a seller can list a vehicle into the dealer auction without paying CarMazium a seller listing fee.
The auction runs for 24 hours.
Only verified motor traders can bid.
The auction also includes:
- live bidding,
- anti-snipe protection,
- seller reserve pricing,
- post-win contact flow,
- and the possibility of a £100 seller reward after a qualifying successful handover.
The seller therefore gets a trade-market route without paying to enter the auction.
Who Pays the Auction Buyer Fee?
The auction buyer fee is separate from the seller listing fee.
The winning verified motor trader currently pays the CarMazium auction buyer fee.
That trade fee is shown separately on the Trader Pricing page.
The seller does not pay the trader's buyer fee.
This is important because it prevents confusion between:

What Is the £100 Auction Seller Reward?
After a successful qualifying auction sale, the seller can receive a £100 CarMazium reward once the required handover evidence is approved.
The reward does not come out of the buyer's payment for the vehicle.

CarMazium pays the qualifying £100 reward after the approved handover process.
That means CarMazium does not take the vehicle purchase money, hold it and then release it.

What Does Basic Retail Cost?
The Basic Retail package costs £1 one-off.
It is the lowest-cost public retail listing route on CarMazium.
The current Basic package includes:
- public marketplace listing,
- buyer offers,
- buyer chat,
- HPI as an optional extra,
- and access to a separate Featured Boost if the seller wants more visibility.
The listing is currently advertised until sold under the live pricing structure.
There is no monthly subscription attached to the £1 Basic package.
Why Offer a £1 Retail Listing?
The Basic package is designed for sellers who want a very low-cost way to advertise directly to buyers.
It gives the seller control over the asking price rather than using a 24-hour auction.
